As President and Founder of Sugar Hill Consulting, LLC, Mr. Thomas M. Lebakken, P.E. brings the perspective and insights from having worked with more than 80 utilities coast-to-coast on engineering and technology projects.   Mr. Lebakken is experienced helping executive and senior management teams develop strategies and plan major initiatives and systems.  For a modest effort, your organization can benefit from "lessons learned" at other similar utilities and therefore reduce risks and enhance your results. 

Hands On

Mr. Lebakken is experienced leading large or small projects and teams, staging and integrating systems, working in substations, connecting up to relays and other equipment, configuring databases and systems at the utility, using a communications protocol analyzer, working with dispatchers, training operations and engineering staff, and presenting results at all levels including to boards.  Whether you need "in the trenches" support or high level strategic planning or systems design, Mr. Lebakken's hands on experience provides added insight not available from many consultants.

Qualified

Mr. Lebakken has a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering in the Power Systems area.  Tom has more than 20 years of experience completing complex projects effectively.  He is a registered Professional Engineer in 15 states and the US Virgin Islands.  Contact us for up-to-date status information on indivual and company licensing and registration.

Tom has presented at many national conferences, led numerous multi-day seminars including many with the University of Wisconsin - Madison.  He has grown a leading consulting practice as Vice President of Engineering, twice been a business owner of an engineering consulting practice, and completed many projects with industry associations such as the NRECA and EPRI.
